18 Horseshoe Crescent, Beaconsfield, HP9 1LL is a residential property that recently undertook a side, rear and front extension under application 22/00140/DMEFP. To build the side extension a substantial front boundary hedge (South boundary) needed to be removed to ensure safe and secure access for the construction of the works. This boundary hedge was made up of 2 sections. Part A was a 2.4m high privet hedge (Similar to the current and existing hedge that still is in place with the neighbour at 14 Horseshoe Crescent) giving substantial security and privacy to the property. (See photo?s in Pre-App submitted in June 8th 2025). Part B was similar but the height was 1.4m high. For the construction phase the hedge was replaced with a 2.4m high wooden fence that allowed easy access for equipment (Excavation, lifting, concrete pouring etc?) whilst maintaining the security and privacy of the property. Now the major construction phase of the side extension is complete; the proposal is to remove the temporary wooden fence on the south boundary and replace it with a new boundary wall. The new wall will be built in brick, the intention is to provide the same level of privacy and security as the hedge did previously. The higher section of the new wall will have a maximum height of 2.2m (excluding the piers)while, the lower section will be 1.2m high
