Essential repairs to roof timbers from inside to repair localised damage from historic timber decay, improve the strength and stability of the roof structure and provide additional timbers necessary to support new ceiling plaster. The installation of multiple ceiling joists and small number of common/auxiliary rafters where existing timbers are insufficient to support a new reedmat and lime plaster ceiling. Use of partnering timbers to support heavily decayed historic roof timbers (common rafters and ceiling joists) and installation of additional timbers to support the structure of two dormer windows
